Our JuniorK and Elementary students will be celebrating the Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year!

During the month of January, the Mandarin classes will be learning about and celebrating Chinese New Year culture! Our students will learn about Chinese New Year customs and traditions through various projects and will gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the Chinese New Year from legends and stories.

At the Hingham Town Hall, we will display all the hard work and projects done by our students and also sing Chinese New Year songs, dance together and celebrate Chinese New Year as a SELA community! We look forward to celebrating Chinese New Year together with you!

Who:
All Elementary and full day JuniorK students will be performing. Parents/guardians and family members are invited and encouraged to attend!

When:
Friday, January 20th, 1:45pm – 2:45pm

Where:
Hingham Town Hall, Sanborn Auditorium, 210 Central St, Hingham, MA 02043

Other Information:

• • Permission slips are required and will be sent out after the Holiday Break
• • Parking will be available at the little league field “Haley Field It’s grass parking and just a short walk from the town hall
• • Hingham School buses will transport participating students and staff from SELA to the Town Hall with their belongings. JuniorK students who do not attend school on Fridays should be dropped off by parents at the Town Hall no later than 1:30pm.
• • Regular dismissal will be done from the Town Hall after the performance.Staff will be stationed at the exits to check out your students to you via Brightwheel. If your student is continuing to stay for the PM extended program on this day, they will be transported back with staff via Hingham School Bus.
