Programs for Continuing Spanish Learners
Our programs are designed to support former students who wish to continue their Spanish language learning journey, even after transitioning to other schools. We offer a range of group classes, all conducted in full immersion, to help students further develop their language proficiency.
Our graduate programs are thoughtfully crafted for alumni seeking to further advance their Spanish language proficiency. Each group class is conducted using a full immersion approach, designed to foster authentic communication and fluency.
Junior-K Graduate Program
This program is designed for students who have completed JuniorK at SELA (typically graduating in June) and are entering Kindergarten. At this stage, students are introduced to foundational reading, writing, and oral language skills in Spanish. The curriculum strengthens the language foundation developed in JuniorK while preparing students for more advanced Spanish learning through dynamic and immersive activities.
Junior-K II Program
Junior-K Graduate II is the next step for students who have completed Junior-K Graduate I. At this level, students continue developing their reading, writing, and oral communication skills through more complex projects and increasingly independent learning experiences. The program promotes greater confidence and fluency in Spanish.
Elementary I Program
This program is designed for students continuing their Spanish language learning journey after JuniorK Graduate. The main focus is to strengthen oral and written comprehension and expression through interactive activities, thematic projects, and authentic communication experiences conducted entirely in Spanish.
Elementary II Program
Elementary II expands upon the skills developed in Elementary I by incorporating more advanced reading, writing, and conversational activities. Students participate in more elaborate projects while continuing to strengthen their vocabulary, grammatical understanding, and communication skills in academic and social contexts.
Proficiency I Program
This program is designed for students who already possess a strong foundation in Spanish and are prepared to develop more advanced language skills. Students continue expanding their vocabulary, strengthening grammatical structures, and participating in communication, reading, and writing activities conducted entirely in Spanish.
Proficiency II Program
Proficiency II deepens the skills developed in Proficiency I through more advanced learning experiences and increased oral and written language production. Students participate in collaborative projects, presentations, and cultural activities that promote more fluent and confident communication in Spanish.
Master I Program
Master I is intended for students with an advanced level of Spanish who are prepared to work with more complex language structures and academic content. The program emphasizes fluent communication, advanced reading and writing, critical thinking, and the exploration of cultural topics through immersive learning experiences.
Master II Program
Master II represents the highest level within the program. Students refine their fluency, comprehension, and written expression through advanced discussions, text analysis, presentations, and real-world applications of the language. The curriculum is designed to strengthen academic Spanish proficiency while fostering independence and confidence in language use.
Spanish Tutoring Program
The Spanish Tutoring Program offers individualized or small-group support tailored to each student’s language needs and academic goals. Sessions may focus on, reading and writing development, grammar reinforcement, conversational practice, or additional enrichment for students seeking to strengthen and maintain their Spanish language skills.
