The SELA difference

An education pathway from 3 months through 6th grade.

We provide an immersive education for English-speaking students from 3 months through 6th grade. Through a purposefully designed curriculum and transformative learning experiences, students embark on an educational journey — achieving full fluency in Spanish and meaningful proficiency in Mandarin.

As a SELA parent of three, we love absolutely everything about SELA! From the language immersion, to the incredibly loving staff, to the academics and enrichment opportunities, SELA has been one of the best decisions we’ve made since moving to the area.

My oldest started SELA at the age of 2 and is now in the Jr. K program as part of SELA Elementary. He is nearly fluent in his Spanish and very focused on language building and global education. I have also noticed a newfound confidence after joining Jr. K—he loves switching classes and having different educators—and has grown in his language abilities to include Mandarin, one of his new favorite subjects. In his fourth year at SELA, Jr. K is still proving exciting and new for him.

All three of my children adore the SELA teachers. They are warm and inviting and make the transition away from home seamless. They make learning fun and exciting, to the point where my children often say they miss their teachers over the weekend!

Beyond the academics and staff, my children have found an incredible community at SELA. They have made close friends, and the staff and community do a wonderful job fostering those relationships. There is a strong parent community for first-time families beginning their SELA journey—not something typical of most daycares! I thoroughly recommend SELA to anyone considering this amazing school.

Our family has been part of the SELA community for many years, and all three of our children have attended SELA since they were infants. From day one, we have experienced nothing but love, care, and unwavering support from the teachers, who truly know and nurture each child as an individual.

The directors at both locations are incredibly supportive of both the teachers and families, creating a warm, thoughtful, and well-run environment. SELA does an exceptional job of setting children up for success socially, emotionally, and developmentally—giving parents confidence that their children are in the best possible hands.

In addition, the Parent Association plays a huge role in building an amazing sense of community, organizing a variety of events, both in and outside of school, that allow families to connect and form lasting relationships. We feel so grateful to be part of the SELA family and could not recommend it more highly.
