Explore passions. Build skills. Grow beyond the classroom.
SELA offers a wide range of extracurricular programs designed to help students explore interests, build new skills, and grow with confidence—all within a structured and engaging environment.
Programs are available to students from Preschool through 6th Grade, and are open to both current SELA students—across Early Global Education and the Elementary School—and, in some cases, non-enrolled students.
All programs are thoughtfully led by SELA teachers or trusted local professionals, and many are taught in Spanish to continue language immersion beyond the school day.
Multiple ways to keep growing after the school day ends—each one led by SELA teachers or trusted local professionals.
Keep an eye out for next year’s offerings released each summer.
Your child doesn’t need to attend SELA to grow up speaking another language.
Our Full Immersion After School Program is open to all students in Kindergarten through 6th grade — wherever they go to school.
Every class is conducted entirely in the target language, creating an immersive environment where language becomes second nature. Through rich conversation, hands-on activities, cultural exploration, and collaborative projects, students don’t just learn a language — they begin to live it.
Whether your child is taking their very first steps into a new language or continuing a journey already underway, our program meets them exactly where they are and moves them forward.
Your child does not need to be enrolled at SELA. The program is open to all students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, wherever they go to school.
With a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 students, your child learns in a close-knit setting where every voice is heard and every learner gets the attention they deserve.
The program runs two semesters — September through December and January through June. In the event of a weather cancellation or school closing, a make-up session will be scheduled. Please note that make-up sessions are not available for individual student absences.
Our after-school Spanish program welcomes students of all experience levels. Every class is taught entirely in Spanish — through conversation, games, storytelling, literacy, creative projects, and cultural discovery. Students are placed in the level that matches their current proficiency, so the work is always meaningful and the growth is always real.
For students with little or no prior experience. Students are introduced to essential vocabulary, everyday conversation, listening comprehension, reading, and writing through interactive, age-appropriate activities designed to make language feel natural from day one.
For students ready to do more with the language they’ve already begun to build. Lessons expand vocabulary, strengthen reading and writing, and push students to express themselves with greater independence through more complex discussions and collaborative projects.
For students who carry strong proficiency and are ready to deepen their fluency. Students engage in higher-level conversation, analytical thinking, creative writing, presentations, and project-based learning — expanding their command of both language and culture.
When students live inside a language rather than simply studying it, the results are transformative. Through our program, your child will:
Our Full Immersion After School Program offers something rare — a community where language is not a subject to be studied, but a world to step into.
